Evaluation of the effects of aeolian dry deposition on biogeochemical cycling of redox-sensitive elements in the sediments of the Gulf of Aqaba

The aim of the proposed project is to understand the effect of aeolian dust deposition on cycling of redox-sensitive elements (Fe, Mn, S) deposited in the sediments of the Gulf of Aqaba and on the function and composition microbial communities in the sediments and at the sediment-water interface.
